Hello All,

I have all these little grey boxes popping up as I mouse over them in CS4. What's going on? I know this isn't much info, but I don't know what else to say! I'm on XP, and I'm working with files exported from ESRI's ArcMap.

thanks,
allie

Tell your boss it was a creative decision on your part to use a bunch of little grey boxes...

I know this isn't much help, but I don't know what else to say!

they don't stay there - they just pop up when i mouse over. i think it might have something to do with things being grouped? i'm not sure, but it's a real pain to deal with!

could be, but kinda doubt it. haven't had issues with any other apps.

ooh - just solved it! well, a work around anyway. When I turn off Object Highlighting in Preferences->Smart Guides, the problem goes away.

Thanks for the help, and hope this can help someone else along the way...

FYI and FWIW, as I recall, every Illustrator user with what turned out to be video adapter issues started out saying the same thing.

Come to think of it a Smart Guides thing was obvious. Should have been clued in my the roll over action.
